Cent or USD account?
What changes with a cent account and which EA needs one.
On a cent account your balance is shown in cents (USC): 100 USC = 1 USD, and 1.00 lot is one hundredth of a standard lot. Everything is 100 times smaller - the profit, the loss and the margin.
Our recommendation
- Depositing less than the EA's capital (shown on its page)? Open a cent account. From $50 the EA trades small cent lots that your balance can carry - for example BTC Breaker on $50 trades 0.16 cent lots, and the worst drawdown in our test would have cost about $6.
- Depositing the EA's capital or more? A USD account works too: 0.01 lot per the EA's capital, more as the balance grows.
- Gold Tide - cent account only, from $630. A ladder adds positions; a cent account gives the basket the room it needs.
Lot limit - fair for every account
Our server sets the most each EA can trade from your account balance, so no account is ever over-lotted: every 0.01 lot needs the EA's capital (shown on its page), and the limit grows as your balance grows - up to 1.00 standard lot (100.00 on a cent account). Several EAs on one account share the balance. Below the minimum, the EA keeps managing open trades but places no new ones, and its panel shows DEPOSIT NEEDED.
Suggested capital
Each EA's capital per 0.01 lot is 3 times the worst drawdown in our backtest, or 33 times its biggest single loss if that is more. A cent account trades lots 100 times smaller, so it can start from $50.
